Resident Weimaraners and Other Dog Breeds
View information about our resident Weimaraners and other dog breeds held temporarily or on a permanent basis. Dogs under the care of Lifeline Dog Rescue include dogs ready for adoption, foster dogs who need temporary housing, dogs in rehab for behavior issues or physical injury, and a variety of dogs in our forever home.
These four lovely dogs are each other breeds and permanent residents, and not for adoption.
Each dog within these groups of resident Weimaraners and other dog breeds enjoys a safe haven with appropriate shelter, feeding, veterinary care, training, socialization, plus a large lake and play area.
Here’s more information on each resident group.

Dogs Held for Foster Groups
Some of our canine residents may include dogs from persons fostering who actively provide housing to dogs at risk. These individuals or groups may have a temporary need to transfer dogs due to overcrowding, or perhaps the foster parent deserves a much needed vacation. Depending on circumstances, these dogs may be housed temporarily at Lifeline Dog Rescue, or the foster agent may permit us to list their dog for adoption.
Dogs in Rehabilitation
The dogs in rehabilitation are usually here on a temporary basis to help them with emotional or physical issues. Most will eventually be ready for adoption. This group of resident rescue dogs may include animals that require help socializing with other dogs and people, or training for behavior issues. Some may have been seriously abused or injured, and may be under our care for months, or longer, until ready for adoption.
Dogs in Their Forever Home
A special group of Weimaraner and other breeds of rescue dogs are the dogs in their forever home who are permanent residents. Our website displays a wide variety of dogs at different stages of the rescue process. Over an extended period of time you may see some of the same dogs featured often. These are likely dogs staying with us in their forever home.
One of the duties of the permanent resident dogs is helping socialize new arrivals to make them feel welcomed and right at home.
