Sarge is smart and a fast learner. He is not much for swimming but is good when it comes to having a bath, which speaks to his tolerance for his “people.”
At first, he was scared to get in our car, or to play with any of the dog toys in the house, but we built his confidence and now he will let us do anything we want to him, such as give him a bath.
Sarge does not hover around the table while we eat. He will “go lay down” when told to do so. He has proven that he knows “sit”, “lay down”, “stay”, “come”, “paw”, “goose”, “off”, and “high five.”
A home with a fenced in yard, pool, lanai, or acreage where he can run and play is essential. He would do well with another dog as a companion or as an only dog with lots of interaction.
A family that is home most of the time would work best for Sarge. He doesn’t like to be alone for long periods and crating would NOT work for this boy.
Sarge is so lovable, and needs a lot of cuddles. A family that will include him in their lifestyle and activities would be perfect and Sarge will blossom with the right interaction.
