Since her critical condition last November, the next chapter for female weim Pollo takes her a step closer to a complete recovery and happier life.
Here’s Pollo napping with a Weimaraner foster companion two months later. Despite her ordeal, she has become a happy and friendly puppy again.
Lifeline Dog Rescue fans may recall the first graphic photos of Pollo posted on November 10, 2014.
Some readers felt the gruesome photos of her damaged left eye and bloody broken jaw were inappropriate.
We felt her condition needed to be shown. The before and after provide evidence of her strength and character.
The next chapter begins with more dental and jaw surgery on January 27th, and finally pelvis x-rays plus rehab at the medical center.
We are forever grateful to the Pollo fans who stepped up to support Pollo who was in critical condition and close to certain death.
Today she already enjoys going to the dog park, plays with her two Weim companions in foster, and is expected to make a full recovery.
