Margo was flown by private plane from the Tupelo Mississippi Animal Shelter by Pilots N Paws volunteer pilot Jasone and his wife Ava. Their 1200 mile flight plan was from Tampa FL to Tupelo MS to Kissimmee FL, and then back home to Tampa.
We cannot begin to thank Jasone and Ava plus all the volunteers involved in this rescue mission. Pilots n Paws volunteer coordinator Liz does an incredible job pulling volunteers together and managing missions with military precision.
Staff from the Tupelo Animal Shelter are very cooperative in their relationship with dog rescue groups.
Volunteers in Mississippi and Florida commit to airport ground transportation. All went well, and Margo the female Weim Mix arrived last night at the Lifeline Dog Rescue 3 acre facility in Okeechobee, Florida.

Margo the 2 year old female Weimaraner Mix will be in evaluation at Lifeline Dog Rescue this week, and is expected to pass quickly and made available for adoption. Pilot Jasone reports Margo was very calm and relaxed during their 2-1/2 hour flight. His wife Ava mentioned that Margo spent much of the time seated up front next to Jasone.
Welcome to Lifeline, Margo. You are a beautiful and well behaved girl, and can look forward to the freedom, comfort, and safety of our non-profit dog rescue shelter where dogs roam free.
Thank you, again, to all the wonderful volunteers who stepped up to make this happen by giving up part of the Labor Day weekend holiday.
We could not have done this Margo rescue mission without you!
