Chelsea was an abandoned rescue who had been left to fend for herself in the woods.
Chelsea was a momma dog, sadly her puppies all but one were captured and taken to another rescue.
Chelsea is sweet and lovable even though she arrived at Lifeline scared and confused.
She had never been to a Vet and was heartworm positive.
Chelsea was placed in our rehab program.

Chelsea Adoption and New Life
Chelsea was never listed for adoption because her new human mom saw Chelsea’s story and very generously decided to sponsor her. Chelsea was a lucky girl and we gave new mom Kimberly the chance to name Chelsea who was at the time of her intake only known as Momma Dog. Kimberly applied for her adoption in December 2012. Chelsea’s story is a true rags to riches tale.
Chelsea came to Lifeline with no vetting and so terrified she would not let anyone near her, she would sit huddled up in a corner. Gradually she came to trust us. All our earlier photos had to be taken from a distance with a zoom lens. Chelsea was fully vetted and treated for heartworms. She came out of rehab in December and Kimberly applied to adopt her.
She now lives in a beautiful home in Lake Mary, Florida, that she shares with 2 brothers. She has become more confident and playful and after all the TLC she has received from Lifeline and her new mom you wouldn’t think this was the same dog. Beautifully groomed and lots of love, this girl hit the jackpot!
With her new mom and dad, Kimberly and Craig, Chelsea will never have to suffer again.
Thank you so much Kimberly and Craig, for opening up your hearts and home to adopt our beautiful girl Chelsea and giving her the life many dogs could only dream about. We wish you all many years of Happy Tails and special moments with Chelsea.
