Bert Adoption and New Life

You could never tell from his sad days on death row last December that Bert would be rescued once, literally hours before being put to sleep, and then again 3 months later when he was adopted into a loving forever home. His months in rehabilitation at Lifeline Dog Rescue, and ongoing evaluation, proved that Bert is a beautiful, friendly, and loving dog.

Bert was adopted on March 1, 2012, and now lives in a private home with his new human Mom, Christy. She is a nurse who moved to Central Florida recently from Wisconsin, and found Bert online using Google while searching for the perfect dog for a travel companion. It was a happy match from the moment they met!

We know his new “Mom” loves Bert very much. Before making the adoption formal, she bought him a bed, treats, and toys. Bert can look forward to a future of being safe and comfy, plus travel, walks, and the dog park. Good luck in your new home, Bert, and thank you Christy for opening your heart and life to share with Bert the Boxer Mix.
