Find the IRS 501c3 Approval on Their Website
To confirm the 501c3 eligibility approved status of the Lifeline Dog Rescue parent company, visit the official IRS website public charity search function and then select the radio button to the left of “Are eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions”.
When the button is selected, more options appear immediately to search for the charitable organization.
Enter our EIN number 45-3711133 in the first box or Lifeline Dog Rescue in the name box, and then press the search button. The next page will list just Central Florida Weimaraner & Dog Rescue, Inc. as an approved 501c3 eligible public charity.
If checking another organization and you do not have their federal EIN number, skip that box and search by their name or city and state. Lifeline headquarters are in Davenport, Florida. Search by entering just those two fields for city and state, and Central Florida Weimaraner & Dog Rescue, Inc. appears in the results, and currently at or near the top on page two.
Please note that the deductibility limitation of 50% does NOT mean only half of your contribution is tax deductible. That 50% defines a limit of how much of your adjusted gross income may be donated each year, and specifically “up to 50% of his or her adjusted gross income”.
Therefore, your contributions are 100% deductible unless you donated more than half of your adjusted gross income.
