We incorporated in 2011 as Central Florida Weimaraner & Dog Rescue, Inc. because that corporate name defines where we operate and what we do. We chose the dba (doing business as) of Lifeline Dog Rescue because it is easier to remember, summarizes our mission, and allows a shorter www domain name.
About Us Overview and Links to More Information
Our corporate headquarters is in Davenport, Florida. Many dog rescue organizations are a network of volunteers who work from home and arrange for rescue and foster of dogs without any actual shelter facility. Lifeline is different.
Lifeline Dog Rescue has a 3 acre fenced shelter facility in Okeechobee, Florida, that includes an on-site manager’s home, outbuildings and dog runs, a huge play area for the dogs, and a large private lake.
Corporate partners are volunteer staff with Denise Ridgeon at headquarters in Davenport, and Kim Murphy as the on-site manager at our 3 acre facility in Okeechobee. Both have other day jobs, so visitors who want to view or adopt dogs are met by appointment only.
